  • Deep ruby garnet core fading at the rim with slight bricking. The nose is beautiful with notes of blackberry compote, creosote, violets, and herbs de provence. The palate is rich, supple, and balanced with beautiful fruit density and complexity, solid acidity, and smooth texture. The tannins have mostly resolved and the wine is not nearly the bruiser it was in youth, I recommend drinking over the next five years.

  • Brett-heavy cherry cough syrup flavor (2nd bottle with this flaw, hopefully they aren't all dead)

  • Yum! Still drinking well. A treat served along side lamb chops. Still showing some hints of fruit and refreshing acidity...my wife notes leather, minerals, almond flour. I wish we had more. FYI-tons of sediment.

  • This still seems pretty young with raw tannins, rich fruit, and earthy leathery notes. I think this is a bit too extracted with some heat showing but additional age may help.

  • Has considerable extracted fruit which contributes to its richness. Leather, tobacco, briar. Very much in the Rhone style -- agree with another comment that it could pass for a Gigondas. The wine that still has a significant amount of tannin in the finish. To my mind, too much new oak has resulted in the tannins overwhelming the fruit. In the glass a purple rim indicates it's still relatively young. One could age it longer to allow the tannins to soften further, but the fruits are likely to fade long before then. I think it was overpriced.
