Aromas of black currant (reminded me of a black currant syrup actually) and blackberry with a hint of licorice. Spicy or kinda pungent... semi-rotten leaves / forest floor. raspberry, sour cherry, tomato, spice on the palate. Deep ruby color with a brownish tint, pale orange rim. Overall, aged quite well!

We didn't get an overly-smokey, tainted bottle. This one was round and juicy, with berries predominating, even on the nose. Nose was just a bit shy. Smooth mouth feel went hand-in-hand with the ripe, fruity taste.

I had low expectations heading into drinking this wine because of the impact of the smoke from the Anderson Valley Fire in 2008 but I was peasantly bown away by this. I'm already a huge fan of Goldeneye Pinots and the Narrows and Confluence have consistently been my favorites. This does not disappoint

Smoke -- lightest taint of the 3 vineyard designates, but still undrinkable for me. One family member liked with pork BBQ. Sad.
