Touch of Bret on opening. Quickly blew off. Lovely notes of dark fruits and licorice some meat. The body has great acid backbone; the fruit is still round and has a good finish. Minimal oak. Well made and lots of life left.

Ah, after this opened up (and it took about an hour and a half), it just kept getting better and better. Lots of dark fruit (dark plums, black berries, etc.) on the nose and palate with just the right addition of tannins making a well balanced and food friendly wine. If you have a bottle, it has the stuff to go longer so don't be in a hurry. If you have more than one bottle, well hell, drink one now ... you won't be disappointede!
