Dark garnet with ruby rim. Boysenberry, tobacco and cedar on the nose. Consistent flavors on the palate with sweet black fruit, silky tannins and medium-low acidity. Nice and long finish of creme de cassis, chervil, and gingerbread. A very Napa take on Right Bank.

Interesting; kind a new California style from an old Bordeaux concept; all in all, a very good outcome; has some Dominus, Ridge traces; very nicely balanced, nice nose, elegant; dark problemu, nicely subdued fruit; in the window, but very early, 10+ years to go, easy.

2nd of 6 bottles. Trying to drink one every 2-3 years to see how it evolves. Decanted for one hour and then drank over the next two with and without food. Beautiful nose. Fruit, berries, were more prevalent. A bit of a chocolate/coffee note. Bit of leather. The last glass still showed a lot of tannins and acidity. Looking forward to the balance.
Pork tenderloin with a berry jam and fig balsamic sauce. Went very nicely as the sauce amplified the fruit in the wine.

Dusty blue, red and black-fruited nose with Mediterranean herbs and some smoke and truffle notes. Quite intense medium to full-bodied mouthfeel, with mouth-watering acidity. The Cab Franc component makes its presence known in the flavour profile. This was pretty much ready to go when the cork was pulled but looks to have years to run with proper cellaring.
