Red and black fruit aromas. Coconut oil. Aromatic and a sexy Barbera. That last sentence sounds odd if you pronounce the grape name, like the woman's name. Feels a curvy Barbera. Same holds here. Palate shows mineral lift. Fruit, licorice, spice. Buy, buy. Day four, just a glass left. At room temp for the last couple days and really holding on strong.

7 days in Italy.; 6/16/2012-6/22/2012 (Italy): Darker and richer fruit aromas. Eucalyptus aroma. Palate shows a confident medium body. Nice spice and acid on the palate. Eucalyptus follows and compliments the roasted red peppers still lingering on my palate from the prior course. Some citrus in the aromas really brightens this up.

Lovely, mature barbera. Dark, ripe berries on the nose with an obvious earthy component. Juicy on the palate with great fruit, good acids and well rounded finish. Drunk with grilled black grouse. Unusual, but great match!

Again a very rich and almost voluptuous Barbera, with good complexity and structure. Drunk this time with a simple meal of pasta with truffle.

In the Marchesi style (lighter, fresher, vibrant). And really well done. With some VA. Which I like. But it is there.
