45 min decant. This is an Italian lite via Sonoma. Grows with airing as the initial acidity balances to a faint strawberry with very rounded textures. At the end of its life but still a great wine to go with sausages and cheese. Cuts right through it.

PnP with pizza. Subtle nose that opens up to leather, tobacco and earth. Somewhat muddy mouth, thick and creamy. Light licorice, touch of green pepper and lots of flat blackberries. Moderately heavy tannins with a significant kick of spice. Rather warm at the end. Dry finish that begs for water. A delightful dinner wine. Avoid on its own.

PnP initially. Almost an acetone to the nose. Harsh and somewhat grating at the start. There should be a warning label. Left open for a long time and it opens up (even better day two if you have the patience). Jammy earth nose with hints of mint and the mouth thickens to a paste. Leathery candied cherries with blackberry overtones. Feels hot but it isn't. Tannins are rather peppery. Definitely needs to decant for a while. This wine destroyed chicken with roasted vegetables. Needs pasta and some red sauce.

New oak. Lots of tannins. Cherry, tobacco, charred campfire palate. Astringent notes mellow over time. Give this 2+ hours of air. Regarding points, on opening it was 84 and after 2 hours ended at 87-88.
