Dark red fruits, round, smooth tannins: The generosity of the 2009 vintage is displayed to good advantage here yet the wine retains ample structure. A touch of oak adds some complexity. Good intensity and moderate length. Super QPR. Wish I had loaded up.

La Paulée Meets Chicago: Off the Grid Tasting (City Winery - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. Robust fruit for Villages, moderated ripeness for 2009. Still slightly burly, I like where this is now, but still probably better in a few more years.

Medium color. Sappy red fruit atop a very woody base. Lower acid. Very New World.
