I was surprised to see how much this wine has developed over the past few years, indeed, it is now in it's drinking window, and it's hard to see it improving from here. Sweet, spiced Vosne fruits, typical of the vineyard, good length and depth. An excellent example from an ever-improving vintage, although this wine actually showed a little better at a younger age.

This is a gorgeous example from this vineyard. Big and rich wine, but quite lifted from what I assume was a reasonable percentage of whole bunch. Layers of dark fruits and Vosne spices, anise, dried flowers and a hint of musk. Very long and complex. I have been fortunate to see all the major players from this vineyard in 2009, and IMO this is the best of the lot, even better than the outstanding Comte Liger-Belair version. Gone from very good to fabulous in the three years interval since last approached, this should be at peak in 4-5 years, but is an amazing experience right now.

VVW Tasting. Very pretty Vosne nose showing spice, cinnamon and some discreet stems. Big, round, sweet palate, lots of sap and probably the richest wine of the flight. Just on the edge of being too sweet or candied, but this is definitely Burgundy at its ripest and the nose is pure Vosne. Strong tannic finish bodes well for future evolution. I like this one, although it is definitely on the riper side of what I like in Burgundy.

opened up nicely over the course of 3 hours. You could drink it now or wait a few years
