L.A. CETTO Nebbiolo RESERVA 2006. Massive ripe red fruits, blackcurrant, cherry and red fruit jam on the nose, I also noticed balsamic, chocolate, eucalyptus, caramel and tobacco notes. Tasting it only confirmed what I had found on the nose with an interesting acidity on this dark red wine. Tannins were found to have been firm but round. No notice of an unbalance between alcohol, acidity and tannins. Long finish with lots of dark chocolate. You can have this bad boy for only $160.00 MX.

I give this credit for trying to honor the varietal, and concede that the nebbiolo notes are genuine, but there's no depth or richness, making the wine taste thin and overly acidic.
