My last and best bottle of this wine. Slow ox for one and half hours. This is still dark garnet. It has a great nose of black current, saddle leather and herbs with a touch of rusticity. The palate is full bodied with black plums, leather, tobacco and oak finishinga coming through into a medium and somewhat four square finish. Overall this is a very competent lovely brunello at age 29 with still five to ten years ahead of it.

Paired with a charcuterie board. Interesting to drink although past its prime. Not a trace of fruit left, but it did keep its color, acidity and silky tannin.
