Rating up just a bit. Flavors have come together nicely in the last four months, and I would simply describe it as richer. Mouthfeel has also gained weight. Still getting the same sweet fruit, especially just after the mid-palate, but with red sauces and slightly sweeter food (think ground turkey), it's a winner. Just don't expect a fruit bomb, or a leather saddle.

This needs to age a bit longer I think. Tannic feeling, mouth felt like it was drying out as I took my first sip. Let it air out about two hours and it seemed to help. Raspberry and the tartness of a strawberry. It seemed lighter in color than I was expecting.

Light for Zinfandel, both in color and taste. The classic characteristics of Zinfandel are there: bright, sweet fruit, but with a layer of refinement on top, cedars, flints, some mixed spices. But don't expect a fruit bomb - the depth of sweet fruit is absent. Much more food friendly than Paso Zin, for instance, but might be light if you're used to bigger fruit.

Dark inky color, nice body with cassis like flavors. By day two the tannis had mellowed wonderfuly.
