  • I like this bottle even less than the last one I drank about a year ago. The acidic tones are becoming more pronounced. The fruit has become less obvious. I have one more bottle which I will drink soon. I have now had a number of older burgundies in this price range and I have been uniformly disappointed with the older wines compared to the younger wines. I am not sure if it is the wine, how I am storing it or what. Perhaps one should drink mid level burgundies while they are fairly young?

  • I think that this wine is moving past its prime. It was a bit thin and acidic compared to bottles from the same vintage I have had last year. My notes on a 2003 that I drank in June, 2007 were much more positive. The color is still good. There is a nice floral bouquet, but there is not the full fruit that I have come to expect from these wines
