Community Tasting Notes (5) Median Score: 92 points

  • Color: ruby with just a little brick
Nose: there is a dark plum note that traverses all that follows, but the most notable impressions are tertiary now. Wet bark, rain in the forest. Menthol. Dirt and ciclamini. Other dark flowers too. There is a little cherry still. Leather
Palate: all is tamed now. Balanced. Medium-high acidity, tannins are completely resolved. The body is medium, the alcohol is low and you can tell, this is just a joy to sip on. There is some ink and still some mineral backbone
    Finish: medium-long

Rolled the dice on this and I'm so happy I did. There is a full vibrant wine here still, with a lot to say. I don't think this will improve, it may be a bit over the apogee. But I am loving this so much I am starting to think I should collect it. The real revelation here is the low alcohol point which made it a fantastic match with a morrell risotto with its light nuttiness.

  • Not unpleasant, but definitely fading, it was better with paella than on its own.

  • Cork soaked nearly to top. Cork very slightly protruding.
Red fruit (cherry), menthol, slight spice. Good acidity. Seems a little thin in mid palate. Possibly a bit too aged. Still enjoyable. Lingering finish.

  • Wine is in a perfect condition, very good concentration. In aroma bright tone of ripe sweet cherry, spices and herbs, a bouquet reveal tones of chocolate, coffee, the warm earth. Wine with soft velvet tannins, but body is enough strong
to sustain a decantation for 40-50 minutes a nd more. To drink since the present moment and within 6-8 years.

  • CAV old wines tasting (Brussels): Dark red concentrated colour. Soft and lean fruit, good acidity and concentration, feels perfect right now!
