(Leitz Eins Zwei Dry Riesling "3") ($19.00) After the elegant doughy ’09, this has the most adamantly delineated fruit of any vintage yet – and also the most adamant dryness. The usual quetsch and red currant appear, but with an obdurate length and a surmise of nettles and cress. A litmus test: if you like this, you like dry Riesling. (Bear in mind the sample I tasted was 10-days in bottle and probably didn’t show all its vinosity.)

Crisp, mineral, but also with strong fruit flavors. Stood up to feta watermelon salad and salmon. Depth of flavor makes this an excellent example of dry riesling.

By no means complex, but a nice dry riesling with great acid. Definitely worth the tariff for a mid-week, low alcohol food wine.

Clear greenish gold. Appealing & alluring nose with floral & stone fruit aromatics. Quite feminine & one to linger on the smell for a bit. Fizzy to the point if distraction. It never really blew off either. With some concentrating, this shows high acidity manifesting in limes & lemons along with hints of green melon. Certainly bright, but even with pleasant flavors & acid this never shakes the "Riesling soda" aspect from the secondary. Disappointing.
