Petite Sirah at its apogee. Dense brambly nose, a mix of an English hedgerow at full bloom and a rich American berry pie. The intense aromatics continue onto the palate with the full force of all the gamey berries. Verging into Cabernet territory but with so much more character. A profound experience of PS goodness. Awesome with an Angus steak.

Really nice showing. Tannins present but fully resolved. Dark fruit and game profile with a nice dollop of acidity on the finish. Wish I had more of this stuff.

Petite Sirahs on a Satruday Afternoon (ICASI): This is still quite young. It does seem better than a bottle I remember on release. I think as a general rule, Jaffurs Petite need ten and probably more time. Inky purple in color. The nose has black raspberries, charred meat, dusty with some licorice. On the palate, tight black raspberries. Seems like once this unwinds there will be a lot of complexity. Still, it is food friendly and works well. Good finish.

Forgot to note this a couple weeks back. I recall it being solid and ready to drink. It didn’t blow me away but not a fail either.
