This bottle is showing some age. I'm not sure if it is actually from age or from the fact that I lugged it around a number of times hoping to open it - in and out of fridges, on car rides and such. It is still very good but not the exceptional wine that I've had on many occasions. Exactly why that is remains to be seen. Nose shows a bit of petrol, some ripe red apple, peach and some tropicals. Also some tangerine or sometime more citrusy. Honey and honeysuckle. This is definitely more golden than the last few times. The palate is similiar to the nose - more complex and more exciting - some amount of the electric acid that was in previous bottles. Red apple, peach, lime, tangerine, spices, honey. Gets crisper into the finish which is really rocking and electric. Waves of lime and spice really drive it and show hints of the past bottles. Nose - 4.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 16.5/20.

Last bottle of this, as fresh as the first after nine years, citrus and fruits aroma, limes and sherbet in the mouth, perfect acidity, sad there is no more of this, as usual with Schloss Lieser VFM
Still much too young and will be 95+. Formidable acidity, depth and minerality. Intensity seems to project spatlese but really archetypal kabinett. A classic.

Tastes sweeter than I would expect of a kab. Delicious fruity sweetness, balanced by perfect acidity and medium to long finish. Sensational value.
