  PnP, consumed over 3 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium garnet with some edge browning and cloudiness. Nose: Clean, medium intensity with developed aromas of hazelnut, brown sugar, dried cherry, tobacco, and leather. Palate: Dry, medium acid, 14.0% abv is somewhat dominating, medium tannin is present but very soft, medium body, medium+ intensity with flavors of cinnamon, brown sugar, and dried cherry with a medium+ finish.
  
  Balance: Very good - the 14% abv is noticeable
  Length: Excellent
  Intensity: Excellent
  Complexity: Excellent
  
  Overall, an excellent wine which has aged gracefully. Showing all of its 15 years but still trim and viral, drink now or over next 2-3 years (if properly stored).

  Opened and given air time. Herbs, maple syrup and baking spices. Earth, tart cherry, lean and elegant, crisp finish.

  Coravin sample. Earthier end of things. A little light initially on the palate but then adds some weight. Meh

  Emphasizes mushrooms, earth, dried cherry and herbs. Tasted a glass via Coravin, will see how it does later being opened and given more time.

  Had with salmon. Nice match. Opened and let air in glasses for an hour. Food made the wine better. Brought out the fruit. Was ready to drink.
