More than five years after the first tasting and not a lot has changed. Unmistakably Bordeaux, but showing more Right Bank than Left. It featured strong Cabernet Family markers, which came off more like Franc than Sauvignon. Somewhat heavy oak treatment, along with excessive extraction, detract from an otherwise noteworthy wine. If made in the traditional style it would be exceptional, as the terroir makes a strong impression. Still evolving, but the heavy-handedness will remain.

Bought based on the notes from Cailles and Sirpat007. Opened two hours before serving with entrecote for lunch. Quintessentially Bordeaux, long finish and definitely punching above its weight. In an excellent phase right now.
True to the vintage, it is classically styled with strong tannin, structure and extraction (no a fruit bomb). With a long decant, It can be quite enjoyable along side hearty food, but for me, my next bottle will be in 2025. 92-93 potential. Good QPR.

Teetering on serious, this wine is all Bordeaux from head to toe. Very fresh, earthy, and serious Pauillac like demeanor with great stench over a claret like body, with incredible drive and length. The only thing holding me back about this wine is that it did soften a bit in the glass and lost that initial drive of the first 90 minutes. I would gladly buy this at release prices by the case.
