As I suspected, this was shut down when tasted in my previous note. Full bloom medium age Norton now with grape-blast fruit and a casky-oakey-Norton funk core. Held a really solid bead and class. Lovely stuff.

Would have guessed California Cabernet just by the aromatics. Graphite, pepper, iodine & dark fruits, and this comes through on the palate with more white pepper, great structure and balance without any over-ripe flavors. The finish displays the unique Norton flavors, which to me taste of fig. The winemaker deserves credit for fashioning such a good example of this grape and gives one something to think about when comparing this red to other more expensive regions. While I don't consider myself a huge fan of Norton, this is really good.

Dark, really dark color. Cali-Cab like nose. Nice body and texture. Good fruit, but also shadow of Norton which is odd. Oak notes grow and lack of concentration feeling - like a soul-sucked Norton. Smooth, evolving and develops solidity. Suspect a dumb phase (based on experience). Not without pleasure, but also not distinctive.

Dark color with a blue/purple hue. Sour cherry taste but i suspect a bit of an external help for the acidity. Very little tannin and back bone structure. I did not get the "Foxy" taste though. Heavy on oak.
