Prager Klaus-vertical (Szeged, Hungary (at the"club")): Very complex nose, ageless fruits with a little unusual vegetal note, some caramel, coffee, tobacco, lots of beatifully matured spiciness. In mouth it shows tremendous energy, intensity, the flavours are just exploding. Incredible performance for a 15 year old dry white wine. It is also amazing, what’s more seems controversial, that a wine delivering such an electric, vibrant character how can be so smooth and creamy at the same time, and how all the components can be so impeccably integrated. The acidity is full of life, the focus is precise and captivating, the finish is endless. Probably the best dry white I have ever had. 95-96

Medium gold. Darker nose. Spices, golden, broth, minerals, lots of power. Golden and rich. Salty. Deeper tone and rich. Dark citrus burn. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 16.5/20.

Hard as nails as first, with copious acidity and a steely, stony texture. After a few days, the wine softened up and showed wonderfully. A mouthful of nice minerals and stones, but balanced with pear fruit. Very dry and austere, but excellent.

Mostly Rieslings at home: Nice golden color, steely, stoney and powerful. Dense fruit and balanced acidity. Lovely.
