  • 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot

Medium body, deep garnet to purple color. Intense red and black fruits aroma complemented by fine integrated wood and peppery notes. Velvety palate black currant and plum following by rounding and juicy lingering finish. Rich and complex but delicate, harmonies and balanced, vital acidity and fine grained tannins. Food friendly, well pairing to chicken paella. Serve 17ºC - 20ºC. Open one hour ahead. Drink now and next five/six years.

  • Bordeaux Reds (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): 55% C.S. & 45% Merlot from well-drained gravels & clay gravels on shelly limestone & clay subsoil; Vinified in thermoregulated s/s vats, aged for 20 mos in traditional oak barrels, 45% new.

    N: CLOSED, but seems ripe

P: LM body; NICE frt met by a firming structure which quite mitigates by the LONG, BALANCED finish with a refined tangy/swtness to the few, very, VERY fine tannins. For now & making its 15th? ELEGANTLY done! My EXC. 91 pts Gilbert & Gaillard, 90 ea WA & WS, 89 Jeff Leve, 88 Jeannie Cho Lee, 16.5/20 La Revue du Vin de France, 15.5 & (later) 16/20 Jancis Robinson, 15.5/20 Gault & Millau, 15/20 Vinum, 14.5/20 Bettane et Desseauve, and 2* '14 Le Guide Hachette des Vins. [I've no U.S. domestic comparison for this vendor's *now* $29.95.]

Note: I found this somewhat more approachable/DESIRABLE than I had on either 4/14 or 7/28/2018, + the price is now $8 less?

    N: Closed, but SEEMS ripe

P: Med body; NICE, ALMOST swtish frt met by puckerish astringency which DOES pretty much resolve by the LONG, balanced finish with a tangy/swtness to the dusty tannins. DESERVES into its 10th, then making its 15th easily.
