The wine has the flesh, the suaveness of chenin, with the lime, orange blossom and honey. But is also shows up some dried green apple and then a pretty good dose of mineral to wash it down. That dry, minerality coats over the finish. I'll put a good size chill on this and then let it come up to temp with some good airing over the meal and add a closing note tomorrow.....over dinner, where we drained out the bottle, it finished similar to the notes above but what stood out for me is the amount of minerality, like a Chablis crashing into a Chenin. Not sure what the wine does with more time in the bottle but the contrasting palate structure was fun to experience. I have one bottle left, I'll probably drink it this summer.

  Atlanta offline at Kevin Rathbun's Steak (Kevin Rathbun's Steak): PnP. Medium straw color, very reflective. At first, this wine was like smelling a raw scallop with all its fleshy richness tickling and teasing your nose. By the ten minute mark, this had moved to perfumed, powerful aromas of honeyed white floral, peaches, ripe apple and spices. Medium-bodied, with surprising power and vibrancy. Not a slight wine, but remains well-composed throughout. Nothing oxidative, nothing cliché, just fresh and bold with a rich vein of chiseled rocks and minerals. This was a treat. I just bought 4 bottles even though I'm on a moreorlessatorium. Highly recommended for Chenin/Loire geeks.
