(12.5%) 100% Malagousia - From a 375 ml starts full with waxy edges and loads of floral backed by fleshy peaches and a stony, spiced mineral acidity that last through a slightly creamy finish (along with a touch of heat). Reminds me of Viognier.

Light, open, striaght fwd wine. Playful in a way. Open on the nose, exotic fruits, floral and nicely balanced. Medium bodied on the palate, ripe fruit but lacks a bit more of acidity and structure. Very crowd pleasing and good value wine you cannot but like it.
As a side note the winemaker Mr Gerovassiliou, said that 2010 was a difficult year for whites and he prefers the 2011 a lot more.

Although I know and love this wine, it did not impress me as I would have expected in this blind tasting, nor did I get it. However the panel rated it as the finest of the night by far. Comparatively with the other malagousia wines it had the ripest fruit but I found its acidity lower than expected and finish not as long. However this is a good wine.

Malagouzia tasing @ Le Petit Sommelier. Deeper lemon. Mango with a hint of sea air, citrus blossom, peppery herbs, jasmine. Medium body with spicy and round oak. Vanilla and citrus again with a creamy feel. There's a caramel edge to the finish with medium acidity with a slight carbonic prickle keeping things interesting. This was voted wine of the night.

Very spiced pineapples and cinnamon. Kinda like a Alsace gerwurtz and a German riiesling cOmbined.
