  • Very pretty nose with a mixture of massive tropical fruit (especially pineapple and mango) along with impressive acidity-driven notes of white peach and mineral. Between medium and full bodied (7.5% ABV) and blind, would have guessed Auslese easily. Beautiful, rich tropical fruit upfront with notes of pineapple, mango and passion fruit. Impressive depth as well as density through the mid-body where it adds some background honey notes along with white peach and pear. There an excellent amount of acidity towards the back that does a very good job (especially on the cooler side) of balancing the richer fruit notes. Mouth-coating and lingering finish with a mix of honey, fruit and minerals. This wine has fruit, complexity, depth and structure. No doubt, drinking beautifully now, but has the elements to stay at this level for years to come.
