Perhaps past its best, not oxidised but mainly displaying caramel and butterscotch flavours. This is a big rich US chardonnay from Sonoma, very well made. Long and complex finish. Drink now.

Golden yellow color. Typical Chardonnay in the nose, with vanilla/ wood tones. Almond, some tropical fruits and whiff of lemon zest. Full on the palate, nuts and yellow fruits. Long lingering, reminds of Meursault (but somewhat 'square' and missing acidity). I do like this wine, but better combine with food/ fish dishes. Drink now don't wait much longer.

Last bottle. Took to dinner at River Oyster Bar (corkage $20). I was expecting something really oaky, but this was very nicely balanced. Sure, there was a kiss of oak, but not nearly as much as the 2002 Pahlmeyer chardonnay I drank the other night at Seasons 52. Now on to the 2007's.
