This is a tertiary wonderground inspired by Grand Marnier. An amazingly oxidative nose of Spanish almond, sweet must, white pepper, mild vanilla curd, frothed whole milk and star fruit entertains for moment after moment. Full bodied with bright acidity, it’s entirely mature on the palate. We’re talking Spanish almond oil, lightly burnt lemon and Mandarine zest, semisweet marzipan, baking spice, green pepper spice, Key Lime brightness and slate minerality. This is amazing at the moment, and there’s no reason to wait...but the acid suggests it’ll remain amazing for a year or two.

Golden-coloured. Nose with honey, some tropical fruit, ripe yellow apples, butter, as well as a bit of oily impression with some oak, and some mineral. Full-bodied, the palate is spicy and oily with medium acidity and yellow apple. Fully mature. 90 p

Medium gold-green color. Nose of hazelnut oil, green apple, and buttered lemon. Medium to med-full body, good acidity and depth. Strong finish with some wet rocks in there. Good stuff, going strong.

Yellow-gold color. Very vibrant and fruit-forward with an acidic/tart finish. Primary flavor is pineapple with a hint of vanilla and perhaps hazelnut. Not as "burgundian" as some other Kistlers as there is a bit of butter in the background. Nice balance and a lot of richness. Very good, but a bit more full-flavored and full-bodied than I expected.

Nose of lemon rind, pineapple out of the gate. As it sat in the glass got more typical buttery aromas. Mouthfeel lighter than many Kistler Chards that we've had before. Medium bodied, not overly oaked, crisp slightly acidic finish. Nice enjoyable wine.
