Delicious! Nose-filling aromas of fruits and spice, powerful palate of dark fruits, hint of meat, good grip and nicely balanced. No rush to drink imho, but to my taste showing its best now. Went perfectly with venison stew.

Goes from strength to strength - a dark robe of black fruit of course, but those tannins come peeking through the black curtain, stabbing away at the palate; super fine now, the age starting to show just a touch. There is a charcoal blackness to everything on this wine without it ever being big or flabby. Taut and strapped back; a restrained bruiser. Deceptively classy. Add duck.

Big and rich, slightly bloody, a bit tannic, quite dense. Ready for drinking, and went well with a bloody bit of beef. Just lacked a bit of fresness and / or a wow factor.

Fully mature, dark, meaty, truffly and dry, but retaining good freshness. Could go on years. Really very good. Add duck for full effect.
