Dark black fruit cut with green pepper right now, but given how well the 10, 09, 08 and 07 are drinking I would suggest this just needs a few years rest in the cellar. It is all rather primary right now and not fair to judge - has the stuffing to flower into a decent wine. As I read on a wine forum in England, Madiran needs 8 years. My tastings across the various vintages of this wine would agree with that statement. Great value.

perhaps a little late drinking this with the fruit a tad 'dried out' - delicious nevertheless, it improved over time, even 24 hours later
