CT (or maybe Invino's review) said to drink by 2017, which is winding down, so what the heck, I am :) But I'm looking at my past notes on this wine, and thinking it's just now coming into it's own. The fruit is a bit more subdued, but still present, and the vanilla notes are still there, but I'm not getting any of the heat I had in previous years. And this thing is just very well balanced and structured for a Pinot in this price range. If you have 'em, no reason to wait, seems to be in an ideal spot right now, but no reason to think they aren't safe for a few more years, either.

Good and solid, but not more. Maybe a bit better than the last bottle, I'm not getting any heat on the back end of this one. Fruits were subdued but seem to be emerging. Maybe I'll let the last one sit another year ...

Elegant and varietally correct New World Pinot, with substantial presence in the mouth, blending red fruit and floral elements. Long finish. An excellent deal from Invino at $15.

Similar thoughts as previous bottle (1.5 years ago). No degradation, no extra complexity either - but a little heat on the back end I didn't note last time. Still enjoyable. Didn't do anything special with our cedar plank salmon, but seemed to leap out at the accompanying oven-roasted greens (chard, kale) with onion, peppers, garlic and feta.

Earthy. Good fruit intensity. Not a weak Cali Pinot
