To celebrate George, the new Prince of England, and with a little air and some salmon, delicious. My wife especially enjoyed it with braised fennel. Should continue to improve for a year or two, but so good now there is no reason to wait.

Pretty classic Pinot on the nose with earthy and meaty hints together with an aromatic red berry perfume. Nicely balanced on the red berry palate, medium body and medium finish. Neatly done in a pretty classical style for a Cali Pinot.

A lovely Pinot, the 2009 Ceremonial RRV is a truly pleasurable acquaintance which is both flirtatious, gracious and restrained at the same time, implying a lovel complexity only achievable in this varietal. The nose reveals beautiful orange zest, primary red currant, wet saddle leather and rainy deciduous forest floor. The palate provides a very nice texture and tells me this effort could be in it for the longer haul. Soft velvety tannins appear at the back-end of palate. The length on the finish lasts some 45 seconds. A very nice effort - without the slightest doubt. (score is 93+)
