Has a distinctive popcorn smell. There are aromas of ripe peach, dried apricot and toast too. It is full, round and generous yet still possesses good posture and a suggestion of smoky minerals to the long finish.

Rich signature leroy nose with popcorn, tropical fruit, grilled nut, durian and rubber. Palate is very lush and intense accompanied by peach, nut and apricot with medium acidity. This is a very powerful and fat corton with lots of good underlying material. I prefer the dauvenuay meursault over a leroy cc. Still an absolute treat to drink this, but overpriced for what is it. 1845 bottles made in this vintage. 92-93

Domaine Leroy Cellar Visit and Tasting (Vosne-Romanee): Barrel tasting at Domaine Leroy. Floral nose with lots of lush fruit. Peach and apricot on the nose, then continuing on to the palate as well. Rich, luxurious and decadent flavors from beginning to end.

Matchstick aromatics. Linear, robust. For whatever reason, my Leroy Corton experiences are continuing to improve. (1178/1845)

Superb, incredibly balanced wine with roasted sesame, liquorice, sea salt, honey palate. Rarely have I tasted anything better.
