  Beautiful golden color. Nice creamy mousse. Lots of nuts, chocolate, toast and floral notes on the nose. Oxidative style with high complexity and long aftertaste. I really liked this champagne.

  The 2008 Blanc d’Argile is absolutely gorgeous. Finesee, power and energy, ripe pears, peaches and preserved lemon with white flowers, chrushed rocks and puff pastry. Immense minerality on the palade, pressure and length. Great wine.

  Medium to light yellow color. In the nose, there's lemon, yellow apple, some whipped cream, floral notes. In the mouth, it's powerful, intense, almost overwhelming in its aromatic complexity, a bit wild as well with untamed acidity and not super fine bubbles, but excellent aromatic diversity. Structured and stony finish.

  Vinous but oddly a bit flat & tired. Still the biting dry tightness of tart Chardonnay but fizz flat & not much pop from cork removal. Different style cork than typical fat cork from champagnes. Could even put cork back in to put back in fridge to chill up.

  "the rumours of my death are greatly exaggerated". Jeg og mange andre har vært skeptiske til lagringsevnen til denne produsenten grunnet billig kork og lite svovel. Men etter å ha fulgt de noen år er min konklusjon at den graden av variasjon som finnes (og ja den et litt større enn den burde være) ikke blir verre ved lagring.
  Med karakteristisk saltmineralitet og svakt oksidativt preg er dette en enestående intens champagne. Modne grønne epler, frisk hummer og en slags elegent toffee er det som stikker seg frem i aromabildet. En smal stil som likevel gir skikkelig "tyggemotstand". Alle champagner bobler, men denne knitrer gjennom en lang smakskurve som overrasker på finish med en søtlig touch etter all friskheten.
