Objectively a good champagne, but I think the Fidele is more unique and more compelling as a PN bottling than the Argile is as a Chardonnay bottling (price too). Peach, then celery, then green apple on the nose. Framed by a tart, apple-centric palate with a touch of chalk throughout as the wine developed. There is plenty of acid here but not too much to prevent from drinking now. I would be interested in trying an older base vintage to see how everything integrates with time. Supposedly massal selections from Selosse's Avize grapes and Dauvissat's GC grapes. I bet the wine would immediately benefit from more time on lees (20-36 months now from what I can find).
This is also technically labeled as brut nature despite the "extra brut" entry on CT
