Community Tasting Notes (3)

  • Brick red color with medium transparency. Aromas of sous bois, cherry, loam, lightly roasted meat, and sandalwood. On the palate, this is showing an earthy, sweet cherry note at first, then transforms to show more mushroom and sous bois elements. Seems to be hiding something more that you get little tastes of from time to time - this keeps me going back to the glass. Very enjoyable. A pointe and holding. Drink or hold.

  • Ruby-red color. Smoky cherry nose. On the palate, this is very pure cherry fruited with a creamy cherry finish that is very long. Hints of spice show up on the end. The finish shows substantial, fine fruit tannins. This expands in the glass. Good now with likely positive evolution in the bottle. Preferred to the '98 Ecard Savigny les Beaune "Les Peuillets" consumed alongside.
