Old Confuron are almost as uninspiring as old Faively wines, buyers should avoid these two estates prior to the 00s. Tasted blind - Monolithic, tannic with maturing mixed fruits. Slightly dull. 1er Cru weight with Nuits Saint Georges characteristics. 1995 or 1996? (76/100)

nose - vanilla mouth - clean tart but somewhat minimal on the fruit. Overall quite good with food; in fact the dinner made me appreciate its crisp clean style more.

At Bistro Jeanty in Yountville during PNV week, a detour from a week of CA Cabs. Northern Rhones and an old Barolo were part of the same show...
Very nice wine, ripe nose, medium ruby color. Floral notes, black fruits, cherries. Meat/bacon fat. Right in its zone, would drink over next 5 years
