Nose of dark fruits (Blackberry, Dark cherry), an herbal component, and some minerality. The palate enters with a similar profile, but towards the end, the wine brightens, focuses and shows a real purity. Here, and in the finish we see beautiful red-blue fruits with a real crunch, along with that herbal aspect and excellent minerality. Z mentioned the training of the winemaker in Bojo, along with the 100+ year-old vines, and you can really see that in the end palate and finish. Great stuff. Nose - 4.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1-1.5/2 = 16-16.5/20

This is a thing of beauty. Soaring nose of spiced red fruits, a whiff of savory herbs, fennel, kirsch - amaro-like. There's also something gamy, sausage-like. So elegant, it glides across the palate full of flavor and then clings on, resonating with richness. Great balance. There isn't much in the way of tannins so we'll see how this ages. The wine is made from a single vineyard of 100+-year-old Carignan (with a smattering of other varieties) and reputedly is Magnon's most ageworthy wine.

Fresh and vibrant red fruit on nose and palate - the freshest wine which I have tasted from the Languedoc - echoes of Beaujolais - albeit in a richer, more concentrated form. Complexity is provided by hints of liquorice - all in all, extremely enjoyable.
