Wow, this had it all. Expressive, flinty nose with lemon rind, pop corn and minerals. The palate is very delineated and precise, racy even. Top drawer Chard.

[IWFS-Vic Top Burgundy Grand Crus Dinner at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Melbourne] Pale straw color, faint golden reflection. Vinous, sake-like nose over grapefruit quince bouquet with hints of mineral, crushed stones, white flowers, lemon peel, pear, white pepper, spices & vanilla. Quite full, deep, very intense, concentrated & lush, mineral-infused, spice-inflected citrus, pome & stone fruit flavors, already fully open, engaging & alluring; at the same time, powerful, compelling & full-on; traces of sap & grip add interest while fine incisive acidity bring outstanding balance, superb elegance & fine delineation. Long punchy, well-defined finish.

The 2010 Henri Boillot Chevlaier-Montrachet Grand Cru had a reserved nose of white peach and aniseed. It was layered, full and long and very mineral in the mouth.

Decent, faultless wine that failed to excite next to Leflaive Chevy.

There’s a very pleasant scent of honeysuckle along with white peach and aniseed. It is a complex wine that is pure, elegant and balanced.
