  CNY drinks (Casa Esperanza): This was very yummy, especially for something as mature as a 2006 new world Chardonnay. It had an entrancing nose, with salty popcorn, butter and honey, alongside subtle aromas of stone fruit and red apple. Very attractive. The palate was where this shone though. Round, fleshy, yummy, with delicious flavours of sweet red apples and ripe lemons; all lined with a nice amount of acidity and a good kick of mineral leading into a long, creamy finish - this was a deliciously, well integrated wine. Very complete, very pleasing, and drinking really nicely now. Wow - this could have passed for a good Burgundy.
