  Beautiful nose of the southern Rhône. With lush fruits and all the local herbes & underbrush. The palate on the other hand was very disappointing. Flat, superficial fruits and a dominant alcohol. Development to be expected in the future?

  Main wine with the beef stroganoff for our Christmas dinner. Nice CdP, but rather simple, not very complex. Aroma’s of black cherries, figs and dried plums, bit of garrigue herbs. The palet was more interesting with cherries, red fruit notes (raspberries), koffie, chocolate and blackberries.

  Second Sunday Group: 2010 Chateauneuf-du-Pape (R&D's): Double blind. Shows more dark fruit than red, with peppery spice undertones. Black raspberry fruit on the palate. Full-bodied with a long finish. The only one that really doesn't open up very much in the glass, in fact, this seems to shut down a bit. That said, it has good fruit and structure, I think it just needs more time.
