D1h. Really a surprise. Compared to five years ago this bottle was more focused and didn’t show Grenache liqueur. Classic mature southern Rhône. Drink now - onwards.

Was worried my last bottle was past the prime but it actually was drinking well. Nose had blueberry and dark fruits with some savory herbal notes. Body was balanced with acid and tannins framing the fruit nicely worked well with the food. Smoked chicken. .

Definitely drink now. This is drying out. Still interesting with lots of savory dried herbs, but the sweet fruit that offsets that is gone. Function of the vintage? Don’t know. Granted, I don’t have ideal cellar conditions. Low 60s in summer.

Opened with olive brine and earthy tones. Once opened, remained pungent.
