Dinner at Murietta's
Wine five with group dinner. So different than previous four. Black as night in glass, very extracted, stewed black fruits, smoke, tar, red licorice, chocolate. Very full, mouthcoating, smooth tannins are there to give it structure, sweet, powerful, borders on over the top, long finish that gives way to a full minute of enjoyment after sip. Superb example of black Shiraz that is way too easy to drink. Awesome with Italian lamb shank.
