ruby red to the rim; red berry, raspberry jam, stemmy, bramble leaf; med weight; raspberry & red currant, less primary fruit than last bottle, slightly deficient in the middle, bitter-ish finish w/prickly acid poking around. is this moving into its middle ground, or should its timetable be moved up?
Langton's Cellar Club 4 April 2012 (Roof Terrace Australian Museum): Medium minus intensity ruby. Medium plus intensity aromas of jammy red fruit, spice, alcohol heat and slight stalkiness...in the mouth the wine has medium plus acid, slightly bitter and chalky tannin and a long finish that is slightly warm. Hmm. Perhaps lacks a little fruit in the mouth, but I suspect it may just need a bit of time.

Relatively dry yet primary fruit. High toned raspberries on the palate with good acidity cutting through the sides and undermeath the tongue. Subtle tannins pick up from there and carry through on the finish which has good length. Overall, a refreshing and satisfying drink.
Very good value for red burgundy, good value for pinot noir, and reasonable value overall.

Weygandt Selections - Annual Portfolio Tasting (Astor Place - New York, NY): One of the biggest surprises of the day. Incredibly refined with elegant floral and red fruit notes. Nice balance, medium acidity...this won't age forever and isn't the most thought provoking wine, but it delivered a lot of enjoyment.
