  • No detailed notes but if you are fortunate to have a large format bottle of this stored properly, it is doing quite well still.

  • Plum, leather, dark fruit, and pepper on the nose. Well integrated tannins with fruit flavors on the palate. Good finish.

  • Still hanging in there, although I think this is starting a slow but graceful decline; The palate is actually quite densely packed with dark fruits, coffee, baking spices and a touch of cedar, while the tannins are fully resolved; This got slightly less expressive after being open for a few hours, so I would drink these up if you have them

  • Dense purple right out to the edges. Initially a virile nose, with aromas of cola, leather and dark berry that resolved rapidly (within 10-15 minutes) to more muted scents of bramble and old cedar. Surprisingly, the acids are definite and with the more integrated tannins has a firm, cleansing mouthfeel. Initial aroma notes translate onto the palate, along with flavors of dark fruit, and spice. Guessing now is a good time to drink the 750 ml bottles and a little more time left on the mags.

  • Deep, dark purple with no signs of bricking yet for this 12 year old bottle. I could sniff the nose on this all day - floral notes, dark fruit, and spice. Softened tannins and a rich mouthfeel made this an enjoyable wine with some life still left in it.
