My last bottle of 48, and most of them have been great. This one continues to have a little too much fruit and also some nice cool-climate syrah aspects like bacon, olive, tar, etc....

There has definitely been bottle variation, but a CT average of 87.5? I'm tempted to give this 100 to make the average a bit more believable. And if you paid $8.33 like me, stop complaining. If you paid MSRP, you have my permission to complain. :)

While this wine has big fruit, it also has a lot of Northern Rhone type flavors in it - bacon, anise, garrigue.
