PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -opaque saturated red-purple no bricking -faint dark fruit tar licorice -med/med- acidity, med/med+ weight with a depth and softness that hints at the lushness that was present in its youth, faded tarry black fruit and licorice, no overtly mature elements but very little energy left, med/med- tannins with trace heat -this bottle was much less impressive than a bottle just last year - perhaps a bit off, lacks freshness and verve

PopnPour, tasted over 2 hrs -med dark red with purple rim, no bricking -somewhat reticent aromatics dark berry stone tar -med/med+ acidity, med weight but quite concentrated, juicy yet low profile raspberry blackberry earthy licorice, med/med+ tannins with good length -nice now though still on the upswing, has the mid-palate density to allow further development while shedding tannins

No formal note, standard solid fare from the region, with a nice spiced edge to it.
