A very nice and well drinking Cab. I think this has a lot more life left, but it was also in a good spot right now. If it was more intense the wine has really mellowed. Lots of cranberry and as an earlier note mentioned wood spice. A wine that worked to sip on its own and also worked with food (our food delivery was a bit delayed so we prob had most of the bottle without it).

Lots of wood spice, earth, and cedar on the nose. Medium bodied, black fruit, cassis. Lots of fine tannin on the finish, which goes on for quite a while. I get some more wood spice on the finish, too. It has mellowed with time, but still has some structure on the finish. I like it now but will probably hold on opening the next bottle for a little.

Ripe and alcoholic, but not at all flabby. On the contrary, has "structure". Tannins integrated, deep flavors evolve in the glass and in the finish. I drank my prior bottle years ago and was left with the impression of just another overdone, overpriced CA/WA cab but this is a different wine now.

(Abeja Cabernet Sauvignon Heather Hill Walla Walla Valley) Very pretty, high toned herbal notes along with oak spice and dark cherries on a wine to linger over. The palate is concentrated and rich while remaining silky and light on its feet with beautifully integrated tannins and an incredibly persistent finish. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged 23 months in French oak (80% new). 14.8% alcohol.
