Tuesday Night Double Blind <$40 (Bin 75): See through brick red core with orange rim; ripe, plum, almost raisin, brown sugar, fennel, orange oil, leather; good drive on the palate, some age is visible, grip though not strong, meaty, firm, ripe fruit, anise, warm reddish brown fruit; not great, drink soon.

Big and complex. Nice nose with floral and greenish vegetal notes. Berries and cassis, tobacco and leather, with a long core of acidity and tannin. I enjoyed it.
