No formal notes - working from memory. Very aromatic, and at a nice spot. Medium body, a bit on the dry side but the fruit is still there. Dark red fruit, old leather, spices. Probably past peak, so drink up.

Popped & poured last nite in Copake. Aromas of black cherry, tar and tobacco. Medium bodied, soft, mostly resolved tannins, still copious amounts of black cherry fruit. On the earthy side, with hints of tar and an herbal quality. Everyone enjoyed this wine thoroughly, and it was one of those bottles that just went too damn fast. Very well preserved and showing nicely. Drink up

decanted for a good one hour+. kept in my cellar for maybe 14 years? this was amazing. at its peak. red fruit with some cherry, mushroom, so smooth so long on its finish. burgundy like as it was so elegant and silky and beautiful.

With Italian Sausage. Lots of wood and earth. Velvety smooth. Long finish. Glad I saved my last bottle.
