I needed a pizza wine tonight. This couldn't have been better. While this is from a "warm" vintage in Oregon...it's got a lovely balance to it. A translucent ruby core in the glass with a clear meniscus. On the nose there are scents of raspberries, wild strawberries (the tiny ones), and just enough earth and manure that I feel like it's still representing Oregon. On the palate it's light bodied, with high acid, a plush mid-palate, and a lengthy finish that leads through a melange of red fruits with a whisper of rustic flavors framed predominately by notes of mushroom. This wine does a wonderful job of representing both the vintage and the place of origin.Outstanding!
