Wow. PNP. Cork soft but perfect. Color on this is bricking edges and dense garnet. Nose is intense black cherry with hint of mocha tobacco leaf and maybe cedar. Swishing shows some tingly tannin that is super light and almost completely integrated. Sipping this is pure pleasure. Finish on this goes on and on. Although this is wonderful tonight this has many years left in the tank. I expect well stored bottles will go 10-20 yrs easily. I am not drinking much big boned wine anymore but could manage this one any time. Did I say wow?

PNP. Cork perfect. Color dark garnet with brick edges. Started fairly tight then opened up with air had dark fruit at the beginning then developed secondaries. Leather, cedar tobacco chocolate and plums. Swishing shows totally integrated tannin and supporting acid. This is weighty and dense but polished. Great length. In a great spot, but has many years ahead.

5/1/14, 6/14/14, 7/12/14 tastings. 75% Cabernet Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13% ABV. The tannins have become soft and silky, really seamless. Age has treated this mountain red well. Eath, cedar, stewed/roasted dark fruit, notably plum and cherry.

While the tannins remain a bit drying, the wine is rich with oak and herbal notes (particularly sage and peppermint) dominating. The fruit is pleasant, the balance good if imperfect, and the finish medium plus and a but drying. Drinks younger than expected, but not sure this will get much better with any more time.
